From the recording Amusement Ark

Lyrics

It don’t matter where you sleep, It don’t matter where you work
You got to have that third place, with no efforts to exert
Might be the gym, might be a bar, might be the local park
Me, I head to ol’ Kentucky to go see Noah’s Ark

Tell me what's your genesis to finding joy in life
Maybe you take long vacations with your children and the wife
Well maybe you play pickleball or stargaze after dark
But give me forty days and nights on Noah's life-size ark

Say Glory Hallelujah, Glory Hallelujah
I’m gonna give ‘em a donation so I can learn about creation
Hallelujah, Glory Hallelujah
It’s just a mile from the interstate, I’ll go early, won’t have to wait
I’ll be the first one at that gate, at the Amusement Ark

They got camels, kangaroos and elevators to three decks
They even have a carousel where you can ride T-Rex
Noah’s might have differed from what’s offered at that park
But you won’t lose no conveniences to come and see this Ark

Say Glory Hallelujah, Glory Hallelujah
I’m gonna give ‘em a donation so I can learn about creation
Hallelujah, Glory Hallelujah
It’s just a mile from the interstate, I’ll go early, won’t have to wait
I’ll be the first one at the gate, to the Amusement Ark

Got to leave my house and office and head on up the road
And meet fellow believers on God’s floating abode
So glad that I was given life after Noah, not before
So I can drive to see that ark and meet them dinosaurs

Say Glory Hallelujah, Glory Hallelujah
Opens early every day, I’ll grab a coffee at the Tree Of Life Café
Hallelujah, Glory Hallelujah
I’ll be the first one at that park and get to see my first aardvark
Then I’ll stay ‘til after dark at that Amusement Ark
